Luke Rickards, B.AppSc, M.Osteo

osteopath bondi junctionLuke Rickards has 15 years clinical experience in musculoskeletal pain management. Luke commenced his career in allied health as an acupuncturist. His early practice led to a strong interest in the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and he subsequently completed a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters degree in Osteopathy.

Luke has been involved in health professional regulation at a state and national level and has acted as an external Masters thesis examiner for universities in Australia and New Zealand. Luke is also on the advisory panel for Chronic Pain Australia and the peer-review panel for an international scientific journal and has published several research papers, articles and a book chapter on manual and movement therapy treatments for neuromusculoskeletal pain.

An early participant in ‘Health 2.0’ and the growing international online professional discussion communities, and Luke also subsequently become involved in a number of online professional and patient education initiatives.

In his clinical practice, Luke has a particular interest in patient-centered approaches to manual and movement therapy and helping people suffering from chronic, persistent musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain.

Luke also practices at Sydney Osteopathic Medicine in the CBD
